"V-Towelholder"
V-Towelholder is a paper towel holder that will be made entirely of ceramics and is useable with only one free hand. The primary structure will be made of porcelain, for weight and shine. Weight is an essential part of this as it must offset the pulling force on the towels. The inside of the slant will not be glazed, to assure friction on the towels when tearing. Slipcasting will be used for the mass production of this object. For a non-slip bottom the base will be made of Sculpey Eraser Clay, a children's clay that when baked at 250°F becomes an eraser. This base will then be glued into a recess on the base of the porcelain structure. Pull straight to unravel, down to tear.
